USEFUL INFORMATION FOR YOUR ORAL PRESENTATION

Presentation format & preparation of your contribution

Oral presentations are always accompanied by a PowerPoint presentations.

The speakers are entirely responsible for the presentation content (order, graphics etc…).

All presentations and questions must be delivered in English, as English is the official language of the Congress.

 

In preparing your oral presentation please remember to:

  • Include clear objectives
  • Have a legitimate study design to investigate the stated objectives
  • Discuss valid, substantiated conclusions
  • Use clear and comprehensible language
  • Create relevant graphs, photos, tables using standard software

All presentations should meet commonly compatible format, preferably using PowerPoint version 2010 or higher in 16:9 aspect ratio.

Supported file types:

  • Presentation: PPT, PPTX
  • Video: AVI, MPG, MKV, MOV, MP4, WMV. Audio: WMA, MP3, WAV
  • Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF

When saving the final presentation to a USB stick, all video files – if any – and all links to these multimedia files must be saved on the device with the presentation.

NOTE: There is no system for editing the slide in our session rooms.

Please note that you are not requested to prepare a poster in addition, your abstract will be presented as oral communication only.

Depositing the file

Presentations must be handed over to the personnel in the Slide Center, with a USB stick, as far in advance as possible and THREE hours BEFORE the start of entire session, starting from Monday, 9th October from midday.

The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before.

Authors must present themselves to the Chairpersons of their session at least 10 minutes before their session starts in order to acquaint themselves with the equipment in the meeting room.

 

Please note it is not possible to use your own laptop.

USEFUL INFORMATION FOR YOUR POSTER PRESENTATION

In preparing your poster please use the following guidelines:

 

  • Size: 841mmx1189mm- in portrait orientation. The organizer will provide suitable fixing material.

Printed on common paper or cardboard is suggested. Printed on tissue is possible.

  • Written in English
  • If figures are included, these should be clearly labelled and legible

 

Posters will remain displayed within the whole Congress and should be dismantled after the Closing Ceremony.  Each poster board will be assigned to a specific number. Authors are kindly asked to make sure to display their poster on the proper board checking the assigned number to their poster presentation (e. g. P01, P02 etc…).

Scientific Committee strongly recommend authors to attend next to their work during the poster sessions and breaks. Printing and transport of the poster is at author’s charge and care.

No onsite print service will be possible.

Poster set up

Poster area will be accessible from starting from Monday, 9th October from 1.00 pm.; we kindly ask to withdraw badge and congress material before you start your set up.
